Well hello. I'm new.

I have a few books I would like to get rid ofCollapse )

I love to read so if you have anything you want to swap for those, that'd be great.

Also, I know this is a book swapping community, but I have tons of cds I want to get rid of and I was wondering if it would be okay to post them here.

good books!
Take my books! I'm crazy busy preparing to move, so you may have to meet me closeish to Parc Lafontaine, where I live.

Alias Grace, by Margaret Atwood. (One of my favorite books, I'd like to pass on the love.)
DaVinci Code, by Dan Brown. EN FRANCAIS!
Daisy Miller, by Henry James. (It's short, and it's a classic!)
Bescherelle: L'Art de Conjuger. (French verbs. You know this would be useful.)
Nouveau Testament et Psaumes. (I got it on the sidewalk.)

A kid's book - The Magic Faraway Tree - E. Blyton
I have heard that this is a great book to read for small children : if you have it, if you can lend it to me or give it to me so that I can read it to my children, I would be very grateful.

I am looking for the Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton or any of the Faraway Tree series.

Thank you !

Welcome to the Great Montreal Book Swap!
We've all got them -- books we know we're never going to read. Maybe you read them and didn't enjoy them. Maybe you never got around to reading that "classic" your aunt gave you five Christmases ago. Whatever the reason, you don't want it around, but you know that throwing out a book will send you to a special hell reserved for child molesters and people who talk in the theatre.

What do you do?

You post your books here!

Browse the listings of books from other members and post your own. If you see something you like, get in touch with the owner and work out a time to meet and give over the books! It's that simple.

If members want, we can even arrange monthly book-swap meet-ups. Just talk to your friendly neighbourhood moderators (eveglass).
